Child Star Fanning Sees High-Flying Family Hit Chitty

Dakota Fanning was recently in New York hyping the upcoming War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. But her press commitments didn't fill up all her hours. So what does a child star do with her spare time in the Big Apple? Go to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang of course! Fanning and little sister Elle Fanning (herself a rising child actor with roles in Daddy Day Care, The Door in the Floor and Because of Winn-Dixie under her belt) took in the family-friendly tuner at the Hilton Theatre on June 24.
